HELP my sons ferret is sick!!!!!!! Sleeps all the time (past 24 hours) only wakes up to poop(RUNNY) have been spoon feeding water and very soft food with some raw chicken mashed in. he is just over one years old and has been fine up till yesterday. We live in PODUNK USA (very small town) and none of the vets in the area will take a look at him.PLEASE HELP!!!!!! THANKS

Are there any ferret shelters in your area? They may be able to help you. If he's not eating on his own and weak, he needs to get to a vet immediately. Try www.ferretcentral.org, there is a link to a shelter and vet reference page. If you can't find anything there, ask the vets in your area for a reference. Even if this is not life threatening now, you will eventually need a ferret knowledgable vet and as you are finding out now, it's better to know in advance than in an emergency. You might have to drive a while, but you need to find a vet.
