I was just wondering whether or not cat litter would be a noteworthy bedding for my ferret's box, or if it it potentially harmless? Thanks in advance!

Cat litter is very dangerous to ferrets. Not only can it lead to respiratory diseases but it can also get stuck to all the sensitive areas of their body which can cause infections. I use pine pellets that are used in wood stoves, but feline pine and yesterdays news are also great to use.
I also usually use wood stove pellets, but if I can't find it I use feline pine.
I have used a nonclumping cat litter in the ferrets litter boxes for years. I know that may rescues and other owners use the same thing. Never use clumping as it can cause impactations. Pine can also cause respirtory problems. Many places say not to use pine with small animals. The best product to use would be yesterday's news, if you don't mind the price.
