Hi! I'm Kat and I've been a mom to ferrets since Dec. of 1987. Right now I have 2 six yr old girls, Jasmine and Daffy (short for Daffodil). I had to put my 4 yr old Willow down 3 wks ago because of cancer. Our 1st ferret, Kit, was actually my son's, but I was her mom. I've had 9 ferrets over the years. They are a big love of my life. I'm planning on getting another (or 2) very soon. I belong to a ferret shelter where I have adopted the last 7 ferrets I've had. I would love to have a kit, but at the shelter they are usually a year or older. And since they need homes, I adopt from there.
Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to joining in here.

Hi Sarah and thanks. How old are your 2? My Jasmine (6) is a black and white sable. She's also a 'Prima Dona'. LOL! Daffy, also 6 is a black and white blaze. There's a tendency for a blaze to be deaf, but Daffy hears just fine...when she wants to. Jasmine who has an enlarged spleen weighs in at 1.9 lbs and Daffy weighs 1.2 lbs, though with her fluffy coat she looks bigger.
You really have a large 'family'! How do you find the time?

Kody(albino) is 3.5 years old and Roxy(sable) is 2.5 years old.

They really are such fun critters, arent they?

I also breed hedgehogs and my critter-list needs updating, lol
