bella the ferret

kamakiri Oct 18, 2004 01:16 AM

hello. i posted a while back with the new ferret post. bella the albino ferret is doing great and is enjoying her new 4 story house. she is still trying to figure out if the triangle thing i call a litter box is meant to be flipped upside down or dragged around like a sock. we are still working on the potty thing. but other than that she is spunky playful and more tame when being held ..... of course she hates baths but .... eh its just water :P. anyways thanks for all the advice everyone if i have anymore questions i will most definently post it here.

with warm hearts,
bella, justin & katrina.

Most ferrets don't like those corner litterboxes. I mostly use those small, kitten-size litter pans. They only cost like $3 and the ferrets do use them. I've got several triangular ones shoved under the sink because no one will use them. You can also try attaching the litter pan to the cage. They make clips especially for that or you can just drill a couple holes into the back of the litterpan and tie it the cage bars with twist-ties or pipe cleaners. And, unless Bella gets into something nasty, she really doesn't need to be bathed. The more you bathe her, the more she will smell.

Glad you're enjoying your new baby. Give her a little scritch for me.
