Hey, my friend's neighbor is moving away and she can't take her Albino Ferret with her. She's giving it to my friend, who is thinking about breeding them. (I'm into breeding Ball Pythons).

Anyways, how much do Albino Ferrets usually get sold for? How much do...normal Ferrets usually get sold for?

Thanks,

Ryan

There are way too many things that can go wrong with ferret pregnancies for a novice to attempt breeding. The odds are the ferret is neutered anyway.

First of all, the albino, as Weasel said, is probably already neutered/spayed. Secondly, he should only be taking the ferret if he wants it as a pet, not as a possible money maker. And lastly, I doubt there's much promise in it. Is there much demand for ferrets in the area? Then you should encourage adoption. The number of ferrets up for adoption is absolutely INSANE it's so hugh. I'm looking into that right now. I was expecting it to be challenging.... hah!!!
Aside from the preaching of this that and the other, like Weasel said, if it's a beginner then he shouldn't even be bothered with breeding! Wait til he finds out the responsibility associated with just one... not to mention cost of shots, spaying/neutering, descenting, finding a reputable TRUSTWORTHY vet, bedding (I recommend a paper shredder), etc...
