A terrible scare.

Ferret Proofing my house has been an ongoing process for me. No matter what I do MeepMoop can always find something to get into. The stockpile of captain crunch she had under the bed wasn't a big deal. The non-toxic sculpy clay wasn't bad either. (even though it gave her neon orange poops)
Today I found her getting into a box of DECON!!!!! I had no idea it was even there or I would have thrown it out. I guess my mom put it out about 5 years ago and forgot about it. Needless to say I rushed her right to the vet. I have to give her vitamin K for a couple of weeks but the he thinks she'll be alright. I don't think I have ever been so afraid in my entire life.
I've had a rather stressful day. I just thought I would share. Don't forget to ferret proof.

I hope your baby is going to be ok. That is really scary. No doubt that ferret proofing is an ongoing chore.

I'm glad your fuzzie is ok. I don't let mine go all over the house. Where we used to live they were in the front room and they could go to the top of the steps going to our bedrooms. During Christmas season we let them out in the kitchen mostly because the tree could cause too many problems. My hubby had made wooden slats to put between the frig and stove so they couldn't get back there. He also made a really nice gate type thing to put between the kitchen and front. Hubby nailed a piece of plywood under the couch (it covered the whole bottom). Our 1st one had gone under the couch and dug a hole and climbed in the couch, that's why he put it there. Plants were kept well out of reach. When we first got a ferret, we had done a lot of reading on the beforehand. But believe, they will find things to get into they you'll have to be aware of. Where we live now I have my girls in a spare bedroom. There is a gate there, we never close the door. But several times a week I put a gate at the end of the hall way and let them out. They can also go into the front bedroom(my puter room) from there. I'm lucky...my hubby is very handy with wood and loves making things. My hubby isn't the animal lover I am, but he believes when you get a pet, you do your best to take care of it. Over the years we've learned a lot on how to ferret proof a home! LOL!
Enjoy!
