New Rescues in Pa

hello, I (and my 13yo Daughter) have just adopted a pair of Ferrets that had been raised together

Just asking advice
any way to ghelp these guys get comfortable with their new environment?

My Daughter is the Primary Caregiver (they are in her room, mine has the snakes) she is taking them out to play a few times a day for as long as possible
sometimes as short as 45 Min, sometimes for more than an hour or two. HSe is also trying to get them used to a lead/Harness so she can safely take them outside without them running off and getting lost (She says they hate the harness, but she also says they calm down shortly after she takes the leash off of the harnesses {No the harnesses are only on for short times while supervised outside of the cage, not when resting Quietly in ther cage})

They have a pair of Hammocks, one for when the other is being washed, and 2 hanging toy, tunel bed things, again to be switched during cleaning.

our concern is that one of them seems to dislike coming out of the enclosure (its a mini mansion, with 2 food dishes, and a water bottle with Drip Dish under it, 2 ramps and shelves and Tube or Hammock in the Drop Space, and a Litter pan that is getting cleaned 1-2x a day) so she (my Daughter) is worried about her (18 the Ferret) She is peeing, and Drinking and eating. but even if given a treat for comming to her name, she just takes it off to the side and puts it down, does not eat that.

Could this ferret be upset at not being at the Shelter anymore?

The only concern with the other is she does not like being limited in where she can go, and tries to find ways out of the "safe Zones"

I am also asing for any Anecdotal ideas on how to help them transition best
With Snakes you give them time and space, with a Dog MEGA time and attention, with a new baby lots of MILK and sleep and clean Diapers. my experience is limited, we are getting Ferrets for Dummies tomorrow, and our well kid checkup in Monday Night with our Snake Dr who is also recomended by other Vets as a Ferret Guy

What type of snake do you have?
Depending on the snake, time may not be a big deal.

They've probably never been on a harness before. Try harnessing them for 15 minutes a day for a few days then increase the time. Let them get used to it gradually. If it has a bell on it, remove it. The noise can be annoying to them. Do not take them outside on a harness until they accept it. For two ferrets, I use a tandem coupler rather than two separate leads. It's much easier to keep up with them when they're going in the same direction.

Good Idea on the coupler

I had the "kids" this weekend, sicne my Daughter had a sleepover and a Marathon Homewrk project session all day Sunday

they were pretty much free ranging when I had them out
but only in the ferret safe room

I always thoguht a chortle was more like a huff huff huff sound, this is more like a hissing Kreeeee

Hope its a excited good sound, they seem more agressive when i hear it

Back to work for me

Sounds like of them is telling the other, "back off, I've found a treasure". I wouldn't worry about it. With ferrets it's-- no blood, no poop, no foul.

What kind of snakes do you have? I have a green anaconda, a super tiger retic and a yellow green mix. I know this is a feret forum but I was just curious.

Sorry this took so long
I have a Ball Python, a male from a rescue
My Daughter also has one buthers is olderand female
She has 2 Leopard Geckos, and her youngest sister has a frog
I have one other daughter, but she is not too good with remembering to take care of animals, so she does not have a pet of her own yet

Take Care
