I just adopted a ferret. She was Abandon at my work (PetCo)- I used to have one years ago - so I thought it would be nice having her around (It is). However, I need help fattening her up (I never had problems like this with my other ferret). I thought maybe she was just thin due to neglect, but I can't get her to gain weight. I am currently trying a mix of Eukanuba Kitten food (because it is high in protien and fiber), unflavored Pedialite (Yes, the stuff for kids, cause I thought if she was neglected maybe her body needs to replenish fluids. It has worked in other pet stores I have worked at), and Ferrevite High Calorie Diet Suppliment. She eats it all, but gains no weight. I hope she is okay. She has only been on the diet I ahve introduced fully for three days. When do I worry, and what else should I try before taking her to the vet?
