ok new to ferrets but please help ( found ferret)

ok i found a ferret today skinny but oh so lovable verry sweet natured so far. plnning on takin pic tonight to post in the am and takin gto my vet for a scan for a chip .
no tats no special markings. loves to be handled so has been someone pet at some time.i am going to try and make an honest attemtpto find the owners. but in the mean time i need help feeding caging exersize. any vac needed . so forth. she is deff staying if owners are not found. she has stolenmy heart.but! i must be able to properly care for her if i cant i will find a resue who can.tahnks for any advice.

try the website everythingferret.com they have plenty of info....most will tell you to get the biggest cage possible...I had a seven story cage for two ferretss and they rarely went into the upper stories, probably because I gave them alot of time out of the cage every day...ferrets need 3 to 4 hours of play outside the cage every day...you should ferret proof anywhere the ferret will be outside the cage...ferretone is good for ferrets, it's a supplement given everyday in the form of an oil, my ferrets loved it as most do...good luck

AND YES someone had reported not one but 2 stolen from there outsaide cage last weekend.
i waas theres!!!! they are still looking for the male and companion. they think it was kids who took them as cage door had been pried open form theoutside. she is now hme and hopefully they will find the male ty for input.

that's a shame...I hope they find the male, from all I've read ferrets typically only survive for three days on the loose...I'd re-think the outside cage...
