we have had a female for about a year and a half. she is very nice and playfull.
i was wondering if its safe to introduce another younger male ferrit into our house?
is there a speciel way you have to do it or any precautions you have to take?

Have them sleep in separate side by side cages the first couple days and switch their bedding, to allow them to get used to each other's scent. Watch their play closely. Ferrets normally get very rough but break it up when one of them starts chirping or gets a bottle brush tail. And be sure to keep an eye on your existing ferret too. When we introduced a new ferret to our then only ferret, he got an ulcer from the stress of the situation.
i just recently bought a 10 week old baby boy. i already have 2 ferrets, a boy and a girl who are almost a year old. the baby has his own cage and is let out of his cage to play at a different time the others are. they touch noses and mouth at each other but no one seemed scared or mad. i let the baby get use to my room for a few days and they saw each other alot and today after noticing he was being extremly playful and i couldnt do any thing to get him off my ancles, i let the others out. no one had fluffy tails which i was sure was going to happen but i supose no one was too scared or angry. but the older boy would not leave the baby alone. he was on his butt the whole time, chasing him but not trying to hurt him. he pounced on him a few times and when the baby would back up into a corner or would have both big ferrets on his tail i would rescue him. all 3 playing together only lasted about 10 minutes. i could tell the baby wasnt havnt much fun any more, he wanted to play but the other ferrets want to figure him out/put him in his place. my older male is neuterd but even when he was a baby he bullied the girl to show her he was in charge. this is going to go on for a while im sure. your female might bully your boy a little because even females can be dominent like a male. some ferrets never ever want to like another ferret. it may take weeks, months or never for your ferrets to get along.
