domestics with a "wild" look

wildgenesis Mar 19, 2006 12:16 PM

Hello,

I'm just curious to know if there are any ferret breeders that have produced ferrets that look like BFFs? or if anyone has ever seen a domestic that looks "wild". I think It would be great to have such an animal to use in Wildlife education programs when discussing the BFF, you can only do so much with photos and coloring sheets. To many most domestics look like BFF, but They seem worlds apart apperance wise to me.

I don't think so. Domestic ferrets really don't have any relation to Black Footed Ferrets. They are descendants of the European Polecat. And if you look at pictures of them, you will find that the majority of ferrets look extremely similar.
