baby ferret with cut on his nose....

Hi i got a baby male ferret and am currently slowly introducing him to the current ferret i have... the baby recently got a very large cut vertical cut on his nose and i NEED to know what i have to do (chances are its from rough play), but what do i put on it, and what should i look for incase infections..

I have yet to find anything to put on a cut or scratch that my ferrets don't rub or lick right back off. I'd leave it alone to heal unless it looks to be getting infected. If it starts oozing anything, swelling, or getting white around the edges, those are signs of infection. I would take him to the vet if that happens to see what you can do about it. Id' worry about putting ointments on the nose area as he's likely to lick it off.

Be careful when you introduce the 2 ferrets to each other and go slow. When we did that, our first ferret actually got an ulcer from the stress of it.
