Gerbils always brown?

SETI May 03, 2003 08:53 AM

I went to the petstore and saw a bunch of brown gerbils. That was all they had but I seem to remember about 20 years ago seeing black ones. Are there different colors of gerbils?

One neat gerbil color is called mottled. Mottled gerbils have a lot of white markings. This is my gerbil Beauty, when she was a baby.
