HELP!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Ferretlover187 Jul 28, 2003 12:00 PM

Hi, I was wondering if gerbils are noisy at night?? Do they fight with each other, drink from water bottle non-stop, and do they eat for hours and hours at night?? I am trying to find a rodent that doesn't make a lot of noise at night because I am very sensitive to lots of noises at night!! Please write back ASAP!!

My sister has gerbils and the only noise they made at night was that *&#$% wheel. Either get a really quite wheel or take it out at night. And they will only fight if you have two males and a male female pair fight sometimes. Best bet is two females. Hope this helps.

I have two Female gerbils and the wheel is the worst thing but they are also very messy if they are not in a tank. I always have to vaccum up a big mess of bedding on my floor, but it's like any nocturial animal they make noise at night. I just got a baby rat and I've heard they are daytime citters plus very intellegent unlike the gerbils( mine are pretty stupid but sweet), and very friendly. Gerbils are scittish and don't want to be held. ( sorry for the spelling mistakes btw it's 12am)

Good luck
