i got a pair of gerbils.. she dropped her 6 pups last night and 4 of them were still born... and now we have 2 left which is fine I was sad but now... I wanted to know how would I go about feeding them in case she's not... her and the male just run all over the tank and don't seem to be taking care of them... (they were til i took the still borns out) I am watching closly because I dont know if she's nursing them or not.. I think so.. but not sure. and want some advice just in case i end up being the sergeant mommy! thanks in advance for any help recieved

my suggestion is to go to a vet that deals with small animals and get a couple of very small eye droppers with a long tip( they carry them, I've seen them) and get kitten formula( I used the powder kind when I had to raise baby kittens). That would be good until they are ready to eat on there own. Maybe ask a vet to they might have good pointers.
