I bought a hamster about 3 weeks ago and have had an extremely bad experience thus far. The main problem is it bites me whenever i hold it. I heard that gerbils don't bite as much. Is this true? Also, has anyone ever sucessfully "potty trained" their gerbil? thanks!

I've been bit once by my gerbils ( had them about 8 months).. but as for the toilet training I have never heard of that..
