Forgive me if it is rude to randomly show up on your forum asking for help, but I dont know what to do. The pet store couldnt tell me anything and the vet isnt open on Sundays. My gerbil is about 2 1/2 years old, and on Saturday she became lethargic and she is not breathing well at all. She is too weak to lift herself to her water bottle so I have been giving her water when she wakes up and have moved the bottle down to her level, so she can reach it when I'm not there. I read some things and it sounds like she might have a respiratory infection? But I also read that once gerbils get a disease it can take them quickly because they are so small. I cleaned her cage and am trying to keep her hydrated - is there anything else I can do for her? Please help!!

Nevermind, we took her to the vet today wherein she promptly died.
