Trying to find a female gerbil

I am trying to find a female gerbil for my daughter. We live in Carson City Nevada, and the pet stores don't carry them and if they do, they're males.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can find a female?

If I were you, I would look for a breeder close to you. www.agsgerbils.org has links to breeders in different states. There aren't any in Nevada though, and gerbils (as well as all rodents) are illegal in California, so don't really worry about looking there.
