my rabbit Dan actually likes to throw things, not necessary play with them. I'd try balls or get them a plastic house and give them the cardboard from toilet paper and paper towel rolls to play with-- hey, if that's what they enjoy, why not?

Try watching what kind of activities your bunny is into, and then base toy selection on that.

My bunny's favorite toy are his baby keys. They are the one toy that came with him from his home, when the breeder brought him to me, so maybe that is why he likes them so much.

If your bunnies like to "destroy" the card board house, then maybe cardboard and paper would be good toys for them. You might the cardboard tubes from paper towels and toilet paper, or empty oatmeal containers. You could give them old phone books to shred.

You could fill small/medium sized cardboard boxes with hay for them to play in and dig around it.

If your bunnies like to chew, they also might like pinecones.

Everything there sounds good......excpect maybe phone books....alot of ink in a phone book....I dont know if that would be good for a senstive bunny tummy

I am told that the ink they use is vegetable based, so there isn't a strong risk in terms of toxicity.

However, I would remove ANY toy or substance that a rabbit was injesting in large ammount, be it paper, cardboard, wood etc . .

I tried using corncob bedding once, until i realized my bunny was eating it.

I think anything that isn't meant to be a food item can pose a danger if your bunny tries to eat it.

But in lieu of phonebooks, one could also just fill a box with ink free paper.

My bunny has never tried to eat a phone book, he just like to dig at them.
