Question for Kara

angel416 Jul 24, 2004 11:24 AM

I'm also from Louisiana. Do you know any good places for local hay? I've been buying from the feed store, and I've been paying about $4/lb per hay. I only have one bunny, so i haven't looked into buying a bale. Also, i like to blend grass hays.

But there are months where my bunny will go through 5 lbs a hay a month. I thought about odering online, but once you add in shipping costs, I might as well just pay $4/lb.

Any suggestions?

your guys' bunnies seem to go through a LOT of hay, my rabbit goes through about 1/2 cup of food per day plus about one pound of hay every 2 months or so, even more some times! (RARE treats!!!)

the 1/4 cup a day wasnt enough for my little girl dwarf, the vet said so.
