Into the great wide open...

Well, we decided to try Floyd on the harness and leash yesterday, just to see how he'd react. We put the harness on him and he seemed fine with it. After letting him wander inside for a bit, we decided to try taking him out on the front lawn to see what he'd do. Well, he absolutely loved the sunlight and spent quite a bit of time wandering the lawn. He reacted so well that we eventually decided to try taking him to the park, something we didn't think we'd be able to do so early. We had a great walk (Well, we carried him to the park) and he played in the park for better than an hour. I think that this was the last step in taming him, as before the walk he was still a little bit cautious, not afraid of us but not going out of his way to come to us either. Since the walk, he actively looks for us to play with. We had a great day and we're all looking forward to the next time.

That is so cool! I have never had luck with leashes. I bet you have a ball taking him around like that. I ended up buying a huge dog kennel so my girls can have some time outside. I'd love to see a photo of one of your outings!

I'll try to get one the next time we take him out. I had the bad luck to have left my camera at someone's house on Friday...
