Newly adopted bunny

burningwings Aug 07, 2005 05:50 PM

Well, I guess it's that time of year again. Kids are growing tired of the bunnies they got for easter. I got a call at work from someone who works at our local pound. She said they had a rabbit dropped off and heard how spoiled mine were. I said I'd take it. I didn't need to see it first, I didn't care what it looked like. I know most pounds aren't all that great, but ours is horrible. There was no way I was gonna let him stay there. I picked him up that day after work. He is gorgeous. He is a rex. He is really sweet,a little timid but warms up quickly. He has an appoitment to be neutered on tuesday. After that I will wait a few weeks and introduce him to my girls. I feel kind of bad. I could only afford a small cage to keephim in until then. I ammaking sure to give him lots of extra time out.He enjoys the bunny kennel I have set up outside.

What a beautiful bunny - have you named him yet? I know what you mean about being spoiled - our bunny Maggie is very spoiled.

She is just like one of the cats - she has the run of the house during the day and gets cranky when it is time to go in her cage at night. Even giving her fruit/vegetables in the cage does not make her happy.

She is not really keen on going outside - she does not like getting her harness on.

I hope she realizes how lucky she is - she was adopted from the local humane society.

Enjoy your new bunny....Kristen

QUEEN of the day, hehehehe in her fancy little bed resting from her hard day! LOL

She looks wondeful and I have always loved the piggy too, Never was without a piggy while growing up (or many piggies I should say)

I named him Edward, after Edward Scissorhands. My last few critters have been named after Tim Burton characters. He was neutered yesterday and recovered well. I don't think he likes his little e collar too much though.
