Bunnies and Cats

kwsbsoj Sep 14, 2005 05:22 PM

Hello,

I have five indoor cats, one bunny and one guinea pig. Maggie, our bunny, is allowed out of her cage during the day. She and the cats co-exist very well. She hangs out with the cats for awhile and then normally sleeps under one of the beds.

I have noticed a couple of times that she chases one of our cats - she seems to only pick on Oreo. I have not noticed the cats chasing her - for the most part they ignore her. Perhaps Oreo is playing with her - it is always her chasing him. All of the animals are spayed/neutered.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Kristen

I'm sure they ae probably playing. I notice with my animals that different pairs have different ways of playing with each other. As long as your kitty doesn't seem stressed out I wouldn't worry. It sounds cute!

Oreo does not seemed stressed and usually uses the dining room table or the top level of the cat tree as an escape. It is so nice that five cats and a rabbit to co-exist so well.

I enjoyed them My female bunny when out is so in your face, that she sorta makes my girl kitties, who are both about 14 years old a bit nervous, LOL

She runs right up to them very fast and then stops, and smells them, the faces on the pussy cats are very perplexed looking

Then they normally run from her , hehehehe If anything Licorice the bunny girl just seems to annoy them.

Your pics were sweet, they all look real healthy !

Hello there
I used to live with a roomate that had a cat (Madame) we left Mr Shakes (my Rabbit) in the backyard with Madame and Mr. Shake always followed Madame everywhere around the backyard. Madame just looked at Mr. Shake following her and she didn't mind at all. Mr.Shakes was very happy to a friend. It was so cute and funny

The pic might be a little too big SORRY
