Vacationing with Iggi

ig_daddy Oct 11, 2003 08:21 PM

We have just returned from out vacation. Just as we did last year, we have taken our iguana, Iggi, along with us on the family vacation. We found a pet friendly hotel, Amerisuites, that does not charge a pet fee. We took Iggi's cat tree along, since this is that she sleeps on. It was placed in the back seat of our car, and Iggi layed on it most of the 3.5 hours it took us to drive to Orlando. Once we arrived at the hotel, she was a good girl. We don't need a leash with her, and she just sat on one of our shoulders. The hotel staff loved her. When we got to the room, we set up the cat tree, heating pad and blanket, but Iggi wasn't comfortable there. Later that night, she ended up on the back of the couch. We stayed 2 days, so we had the maid come early to our room, so we could hang the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. All in all, it was a great trip, and much more fun than trying to find an ig sitter.

That is awesome. I plan on trying to take my iguana along for trips like that. Im hoping he ends up tame enough to do so.
