pet cat & rabbits together

tpz1957 Apr 27, 2006 03:38 AM

Hi, just wanted to warn people about having pet cats with pet rabbits, watch them closely. A few years ago, I had a beautiful lop eared bunny, and a siamese cat (maybe that's why) they would play together, but the cat bit the bunny and the bunny ended up with an absess and by the time I got her vet care, he couldn't do anything for her and she died, I was very angry with the cat. Just pay close attention if you must have both pets together.

aww that's so sad, sorry your bunny died! Like I said in another post, cat bites are especially dangerous for bunnies because they get really infected alot of times.

I did have a cat with my last bunny, my rabbit was actually bigger then my cat and use to mistake her for a girl bunny, lol.

Anyways that didn't last too long because I found out that I'm really allergic to cats, and she had to find a new home.

My cat tried it once and the bunny chased him down and tore a large patch of fur out of his *ss. He didn't try it again.
