Bunnys are a very nice pet, especially when handled and cared for daily. I have had bunnies all my life here and there , and the only time I really smelled anything was when I had not done my job (as a kid) and cleaned the cage regularly.
If you keep them very clean, even give and train them to use a litter pan, if you want, you should be fine. It's the urine that can be strong at times if not kept up with.
I also noticed at least with females that were not spayed, that certain times of the year they would have a stronger odor, when they were inheat/ ready to breed.
But agin keep them clean and you will have a "HOPPY bunny" as well as a "Hoppy Home"
Best wishes, let us know what you decide.
