i had two syrians who lived together for months. lulu i brought last halloween, and teddy (male longish haired) was rescued by my dad from an unsuitable house (he was a bailiff), much to my horror teddy had had no cage of his own and my dad carried him home in a pocket and dumped him in lulus cage not knowing any better.

it sounds awful but because teddy had been thro so much he did nothing but sleep for three days, and it wasnt until i was cleaning lu that i found him asleep in her bedroom (little madam she is!) and my dad told me teddy had been there for days.

when i seperated them ted stopped eating and lu ran round her cage looking for him for hours. in last ditch attempt to feed him i put him BACK in lus cage and she sniffed him all over and seemingly happy he was safe flopped down next to him while he stuffed his face for 30 minutes straight and they lived happily ever after. they never fought, or bred, and were only seprated when teddy died of pneumonia aged about 4.

lu was 5 motnhs old when ted came to our house and he was 3 and a half,

is this a rare example of hammie heaven?

id be really intrested to know as lulu gets back from HER holidays next week and she hasnt met my little orphan herc yet.
