Hi everyone. i recently purchased a black bear hamster from my local petcetera and i have had her for a little over 2 weeks and she is my little baby. i have noticed a lot of brown discharge coming out her one eye and have also noticed she tends to sometimes keep it closed and when she does open it it is not as large as her other eye. I also need some tips on raising a happy hamster because the people at petcetera didn't tell me anything so it has been touch and go. thanks for the help!

When I had kittens with eye problems I tried polysporin ear and eye drops, that might clear it up, if not take her to your vet, but one warning I've been to the petcerta's before and they don't keep it clean and they realy have no knowlege of animals. good luck with her!!! Keep me posted on her.
p.s also try a soft cloth like the ones for make-up and wipe it with warm water first.
