Hamster injury

victor_1616 Sep 27, 2003 11:00 PM

Ok i have my hamster on top of my dresser in my bed room. he is in a ten gallon glass tank. Well a couple of days ago i woke up to a hamster crawling aroung on my floor with a limp. he would have had to have fallen a good 5 feet to the ground. From what i can see he seems to have injured is front right leg is there anything i can do about it?

my best advice is to take him to a vet that works with small animals, they will have to check to see if it's broken or not, I had a spiny mouse that broke one of his legs and I did take him to the vet but I think it was pretty bad because a day or two after he died( I took him to the vet too). but to know for sure that your hamster is okay take him to a vet, plus invest on a lid or make on yourself and I'd move your hammie from that high place just incase.
