lulu's just over a year old, shes a syrian hamster, im worried that she seems to have lost a lot of weight, about a week ago i moved her from next to my other hammie coz she kept kicking all her bedding about, and urinating on her food, i figured it was territorial as she stopped when i moved her.
i think she stopped eating coz when i pick her up i can feel her ribcage. shes as active as ever and still bright eyed and perky ears. her breathings fine and she doesnt have any lumps or bumps on her and her teeth and mouth are all ok. shes not making any pain or warning off noises and is still playing games and she will take food from my hand and is still gnawing bars. ive been feeding her cheese and meat and eggs and hammie treats to try and get her weight back up. she weighs around 6 lbs. the vets appointment aint til next week.
anyone got any ideas why shes like this how i can help her get better? oh and i moved her back to the old place and hammies seemed happy to see each other. i know they solitary creatures but could she just have been pining for her friend?
