how long should i wait until handling my hamster

i just bought a hamster today and wanted to know when should i start handling it.

You should leave your hamster alone for the first 24 hours to let it settle into it's new home. Also check out this page on how to tame: http://www.debs81.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/taming.html I always tame my hamsters this way and it always works.
