My pair of roborovski hamsters gave birth to 4 on 5/15/05.....Didn't even know she was pregnant....couldn't visibly tell....they are only about 5 months old....I had read that at around 1 year they begin breeding....

Oh congrates I know they are "rare" hamsters in that you never see them in pet stores. Is it true that the male/female pair get a long well together and both raise the babies?

Yes it is true....they have been great together and its unbelievable what a good father the male is....they both made little burrows and they switch up who's with the babies all the time...it is really neat...and they to me are the best hamsters b/c while you can't handle them too much outside the cage, they are just really fun to watch and they don't bite at all....the ironic part is i bought the parents of mine for a friend at a reptile show in hamburg, PA (go figure) and he gave me 2 of the babies...and now i have 6....
