Lost Robo - Help

jip42 Jun 29, 2005 04:19 AM

I was cleaning out my roborovski and he escaped. Normally he runs under the bed when he has escaped in the past and thenI find him and put him in the cage, however, this time I searched and searched but he was nowhere to be found. I have left his cage open and have put small bowls of food around the floor of the house where he escaped but am afraid he is under the floor and cannot find his way back. It has now the 5th day and I have no idea what i can do - am thinking he is dead. Has anyone has this experience before or any ideas what i can do? Has anyone lost a hamster for this length of time and it still reappeared?

Thanks

Put out raisins a hamster favorite and maybe little bottle caps of water. Treats should bring the bugger out. Just place them in a few spots and check them when it gets dark. Keep the lights down or he's less likely to come out.

hi, i don't know much about hamsters, but i recently just got a Robo too and was researching on the internet to learn about it and found a website that talked about what to do if you loose one. it said something about building a little trap with bedding and food, i actually looked up and found this website that tells you how to set up a trap
You were very lucky you found it the other times!
Good Luck again
