I noticed today that my black bear hamster had a pretty large wound on his paw. It coveres a good amount of his paw. It appears to look as if he might have bit himself or cut himself on something.(but i cant figure out what he would have cut himself on)
Anyway, it was bleeding this morning, so i took a q-tip and dabbed it with some water to clean off the blood a little.
What could have caused him to bit his foot if he did indeed bit himself, and it there anything i can do to help the cut heal? Is there anything i can put on it, and should i be cleaning it out, or will he do that himself, when he cleans himself.
