Hey,

Well I've been feeding my LEO's crickets since I got them.. and thats all, feed them between 4/9 crickets ea. evry night.

But I've been noticing that alot of people just feed there LEO's mealworms.. Anywase what I wanted to ask was, If crickets is just fine? Our they healthy enough?, or with my next order of crickets should I order some mealies/waxworms to?

Feeding crickets as a staple food item is perfectly fine for a leopard gecko =) But its good to give them a variety in their diet, so they dont get bored. So i would say it would be a great idea to get some mealies and waxies with your next order. Give em a little bit of everything. Its kinda funny though, none of my leos really care for crickets. Thet get mealworms every other night and waxworms about once a week, and a couple of mine will eat pinkies every once in a while, but they arent very fond of the crickets when i put em in there. Guess it all depends on the gecko. But definately offer them some variety. Good luck! =)

All my leo's are lazy.. *L* They like the slow moving mealies more than fast moving crickets or superworms.. So much so that all the superworms I've bred.. I'm having to feed to my rats.. *L*

I have 3 leos, two of which use to eat mealies, but now will only eat crix & one that use to eat mealies & crix & now pretty much only eats supers. What am I supposed to do w/ the 500 mealies I bought before the "mealie strike of 2003"?!
