Hamster seems not to like new cage

i had my hamster in his old cage for a bout a year..
recently i bought him a new cage..the old one was just old and startin to fall apart lol
hes been in his new cage a few weeks now...but he seems like he still has yet to settle in...hes very jumpy and figigty and constantly chewin and tryin to climb out of his cage...im using the same bedding and stuff as always..he also makes sounds that iv never heard him make before until put into this cage...and for some odd reason he filled up his eccersise ball with bedding and made that his "borrow"/..he just doesnt seem comforatable at all in this cage ..any tips?
