Tail thinning in Sugar Gliders?

EricIvins Dec 01, 2003 08:29 PM

Has anyone ever noticed this? I have a pair who's tail hair seems to be thinning out compared to my other gliders. Its hard to describe but my other gliders tails are bushy and full. Maybe giving them more protein? The Female was a rescue that I've had for a while, so she was like that when I got her, but the male was from a breeder and had a nice full tail when I brought him home. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I'm going to try to get pics tommorow to show the difference.

I already have. His opinion was that it was normal and nothing to worry about. So I'm still out in left field on this one

Well if you have the book "sugargliders" by Todd Bacon, read the health concerns chapter in his book, it can be very helpful to veterinarien care. There are a lot of interesting facts in that part.
