i got a sugar glider for Valentines day and i didnt know about it, i have wanted one for a long time but my boyfriend made the mistake of buying it from a pet store ( he drove 6 hours to get it) the problem is i dont know how old it is, they told him it was a female but i cant be sure.

the only way i can hold it is to get it whiles it sleeping and i have to hide it in my shirt and if it gets on my shoulder or something it jumps all over the place and is real hard to catch.

is there anyway for her to be able to hold and not go crazy when shes out.

shes not mean, just more scared then anything.by the way her name is kool-aid

thankx alot

You need a bonding pouch. A simple pouch that you can hang around your neck while the Kool-aid is out. Usually they just peek out of the pouch. This will allow the glider to get to know and bond with you...

Good luck!

OK the first thing you want to do is win the glider's trust. You can do this by putting a half of a peanut, or any other treat, in the palm of your hand and let it come over to you and take it. Dont move your hand quickly after the glider takes it, talk to the glider in a calm voice.
The second thing you can do is bond with the glider. You can do this by carrying it around in a shirt pocket and talk to it in a soft voice. I hope that helps. If you would like any further advice, IM me on AOL Instant Messanger @ drewman1990x, see ya.
