Ok, having changed plans, still rescuing but...

Ok, I'm still willing to take in this glider. However, the guy said he's looking to sell the cage, since it cost him $300. (5'x2'x2') I'm really not in the financial position to make a reasonable offer (Around $150 I'm assuming, at minimum) and still be able to take this guy in. So, does anyone know what would be the cheapest possible way to build a cage for an adult glider? It will be a "temporary" home, since I am fostering. However, I don't know exactly how long it'll take to find a permenant home.

Just rescue the glider and make a cage yourself. That is the cheapest way to go. If his cage is wood and wire and he is asking $300 for it, he is stupid. Just make your own cage with wood and wire. They are especially good for rescuing gliders since you dont ned them to last for ever. If you are going to use wood and wire cage(s) than have a special sugar glider room where you keep all of the gliders because your room wil stink if you dont clean the cage everyday and it is in your bedroom.
