The supplies you’ll need:
-1 roll of 25’x2’ wire. It is ½”x ½” bar spacing. You can buy it at Home Depot.
-Heavy Duty pair of wire cutters. Again, buy them at Home Depot.
-Tape Measure. You can buy them at Home Depot if you don’t already have one.
-Ferrules and Ferrules Closing Pliers. You can order them on http://martinscages.com/products/supplies/ and these are what you put the cage together with.

Cut the panels into pieces that are:
-3 panels that are 4’x2’. These are the sides and back
-3 panels that are 2’x2’. These are the two bottoms and the top. The first bottom is the bottom of the inside of the cage and the second bottom is the panel that goes under the sliding pan.
-1 panel that is 3’ 9”x2’ and this will be the front. It is the size it is because there needs to be three inches at the bottom of the cage so the pan can slide in and out. Cut an 11”x11” hole and this will be the hold for the door.
-1 panel that is 1’x1’ and this will be the door.

Construction:
-Attach the two sides to the back.
-Then attach the top to the sides and back.
-After that, attach the very bottom. It will be connected to the front, back, and both sides.
-Next attach the bottom (inside) of the cage to the front, back and both sides. Make sure it is three inches from the bottom.
-Then attach the door to the front. Attach it from the left side. The Ferrules will be the hinges.
-Lastly attach the front to the bottom (inside), both sides, and top. Make sure it is three inches from the bottom.

Notes: You can also add shelves inside the cage later on if you’d like. For wire, you can buy the green PVC coated wire or the galvanized wire. The PVC coated wire will last much longer than the grayish galvanized wire. If you use the galvanized wire, you can put more animals in there than the PVC coated wire. I’m not saying put a lot of animals with the sugarglider, I am just saying if you got a flying squirrel, or whatever, than you could use a galvanized cage and you can’t use a PVC coated cage because they will chew the plastic off the wire. But if you are just going to use it for sugargliders, I highly recommend the PVC coated wire.
