I would be VERY careful about trying to introduce Sugargliders to these animals.
The glider MAY be interested...but a hedgy, would only want it out of the way.
I dont think it would be able to hurt it too much...but you never know. Since hedgys arent very fast...most the itme, and not too flexible, to grab hold of it, it SHOLDNT be able to grab the glider and hurt it. But you never know.
Here is my story..
About 8 years ago, I got my first MALE glider. I also had a BABY rat I had just gotten. the rat was tiny tiny tiny. Only about a month old or so. I thought this was PERFECT for the tow of them. A perfect time to introduce them as friends. Everything seemed to go smoothly. The glider was intrested in the rat, and didnt hurt it. The rat was intrested in the Glider and didnt hurt it. Perrfect. So I went in to the kitchen to grab them boh a snack. I came back to find blood pouring out of my gliders neck, and all over the rats mouth. The tiny baby rat had bitten my glider right on the neck, and withn only about 10 minutes, my glider died. Before I could even get out the door to the vets....which wouldnt have been able to do anything anyhow.
So just be really careful. Cause just because things SEEM ok, doesnt mean they really are. An animal can turn on the other out of no where, and it only takes a few seconds. And the Glider CANT do anything to defend itself against the hedgy either. maybe bite its nose if its not all puffed up. But that hedgy CAn bite...belive me, ours biets HARD, and it can kill your glider just the same.
Be careful.
