Hello,

Well I am slightly allergic to dogs severely allergic to cats, and severely allergic to rats. So does anyone now if I may be at higher risk to have an allergy to sugar gliders? Just checking with sugar glider owners before I see my doctor. Thanks.

Drew,
Your kidding right?! And you are considering a Coati? You did read about all the allergies the Coatis have caused most the people on the Coati board right?
Well as for the Gliders.. you SHOULDNT be allergic to them.
They have a different fur type than dogs, cats, rats, and other animals. thier fur is like a chinchilla...which is another good exotic pet for people with allergies. But then, there is no guarantee. How often were you able to be around your dads gliders? Did you ever seem affected by them? What about the Kinkajou? I dont know what fur type the kinks have. Never been lucky enough to see one other than in pics. Must be rough to love animals as much as you do and have allergies to them too!
