I worked at a pet store a while back and while I was working there, they had Sugar Gliders for sale...I had no idea what they were, or anything. I only worked there for a few days ( I got too frustrated because I was getting told to do things that I wasn't shown how to do prior to being asked to do it). But in those few days I fell in love with the sugar gliders. Of course, I didn't learn anything about them in the few days that I worked there, so basically I've been doing a lot of research since then. I wanted one as soon as I saw them, but I learned my lesson about not researching much before I got something when I had gotten my snake. Luckly I know plenty now about him, and he's a happy happy snake now lol. Anyways, I tried telling my mom that I really REALLY want a sugar glider, and because I go to school on the internet I would have PLENTY of time to give it the needed attention. She had told me that I already had enough animals ( but of course I had to disagree, with only a dog, a cat,a gerbil, a snake, and two goldfish at the time, I was far from satisfied ). My gerbil was old, and unfortunately I knew he was going to pass at anytime, so I asked her if it would be at all possible to get one once Thumper (my gerbil) left us. She said yes. Well when Thumper was gone, I dropped the sugar glider thing for a while, because I didn't want to replace Thumper, I loved him dearly and even though a lot of people call me stupid because he was "just a gerbil", I just wanted time to get over his death. I had him for about 4 years, and so it was about as hard to lose him as it was to lose any other kind of pet. But now I'm ready for a glider, so I asked my mom once more. And she snapped at me and said " I am NOT buying you no sugar glider! if you want one, then your DAD can buy it for you." ( my parents are divorced ) So I called my dad, and of course it was a " I don't have the money for one." I want one REALLY bad, it's one of those feelings when you want something so bad you could cry. I mean maybe it sounds stupid, but I don't think it is. My cat is almost ALWAYS outside, so he wouldn't bother it. My dog is a wuss so she wouldn't even DREAM of coming near it. And my snake, well let's just say fuzzie mice are almost too BIG for him to even get his mouth around. I don't know what to do or say. I don't want to be spoiled and beg my mom to get me one. And I've been trying to get another job forever, but I'm just not having any luck...So...Any suggestions??????
