Well, I got myself a baby female sugar glider on saturday. I bought her from a petshop but they said she was about 8-10 weeks old (OOP I assume) She's small enough that when she bites (only has happened once) that it just pinchs, but doesn't break the skin, but I do see some little teeth. I gave her a day and a 1/2 to settle in before trying to work with her. I can pet her in her cage and lift up her back legs so far. So the other day, I put her into a bonding pouch to take her with me to do a little shopping and what not. She crabbed when any little thing wasn't right. I was wondering if this is normal and if there's anything I can do to stop her from crabbing every time I move at all.

I am in no way the person to answer this question but if you hold your breath waiting for an answer here you'll be very blue by the time you hear something..lol...I would go to www.glidercentral.com they have a more active forum..

she needs more time. going shopping could/will be stressful, there are lots and lots of new scents, new sounds, and everything is new. I would suggest if you want to move around and do stuff with her just do it in a park, or to the post office, etc. Not in an extremely crowded environment. You want her to know you, and only you before you introduce her to other people.
