Hello, recently my unfriendly female glider has had two girl babies. They have had their eyes open more then a month, and unfortunatly we did not track their OOP time. My female Mom is very unfriendly, she bites, crabs, and scratches any chance she gets. This I have dealt with in small amounts, and have mainly worked with the Male, Dad. Well their baby girls were good up until a few weeks back, and now the bigger of the two is a crabber, she also has tried biting, and scratching me. The other girl is SUPER! She is lovely, sits on my hand, likes to be pet, never has crabbed at me. Well I feel that Mom is a BAD influence on this other baby, and I really want to keep my more friendly girl baby. I am afraid that since the mother is this way, that both girls will end up doing it (?) The father just sits back and relaxes while I hold the babies, but the mother (I always hold the fleece pouch with me while having the babies out...) well she is constantly trying to get them to come back into the pouch, well more or less she tries to get the bigger baby, the one that has been acting a bit mean, the one she favors, back into the fleece pouch. When the other, friendly girl, is out she really doesn't try at all! These babies are weaned from what I can tell, they come out at night, (as long as the lights are off for a few hours, and no human is in sight, otherwise Mom keeps them in the pouch...). I don't want Mom to be a issue with all future sugar gliders, I didn't know if we could maybe sell her with her daughter, get my male a new female mate, and my baby girl a new friend (male/female). After a pair has breeded can you seperate them? Does this sound like normal Mom glider behavior? I find she is very overbearing, but again she doesn't like humans very much either - and there is no reason for this, we have owned her since she was a baby as well, she just really never took to me. These babies are very big now also, they are almost too big to ride on Moms back anymore. My first error that I see now is not keeping track of dates.....
