bleeding mouse, help??

polosue25 Mar 23, 2004 12:54 PM

last night I noticed my 3 year old Egyptian spiny mouse bleeding from the vulva--I cleaned it and it bled a bit more but then stopped after she cleaned herself. She lives alone and has never been bred. I've have mice and spinies for years and never seen anything like this. She was bright last night and now there's no blood and she seems to be fine. Any ideas what could have caused this? I'm hoping it doesn't indicate some internal problem--at least I don't think it's hemorrhage since it stopped. I really don't want anything to happen to her. thanks for any thoughts on the matter

I hope your girl is okay now, I have no answer for you as to what it could be.

Just that if you have never seen anything like this before in all the time you have kept spineys than maybe you should ask your vet!

I had seen the post and was just concerned, sure hope she will be okay. Let us know !
