I found a baby field Mouse and I am unsure how to save it..Its young with eyes still closed.I like to know if anyone can help me, need to know what to feed it? Right now I have it in a small cantanier with a warm towel in it. I would like to maintain it until its old enough to be set free. HELP???

Is it still pink? Baby mice that young are virtually impossible to save. If you have a lactating female mouse, even a domesticated one, I would just put it in with her and hope she decides to adopt it. If not, it may be more humane to put the baby down.

If it is a fuzzy (starting to grow fur), then it may survive, but you will have to feed it every two hours 24/hrs a day, I beleive it is...not sure on the foruma, but the website below explains how to raise orphaned mice.

oh one more thing I forgot to add in teh above post. I have heard of another poster (I think in the rat forums, or maybe it was the exotic chat, can't remember off hand), suggest using a clean (unused) paintbursh, a small one with a point (or round watercolour brush) to feed teh baby mouse it's formula. This allows for less risk of pushing too much milk into the mouse at once and having the baby inhale it or eat too much. Remember these little guys have very small stomachs compared to other babies.
