Has anyone ever had hopper mice as pets? How long do they live? Do they make good pets? I'm wondering if they're feeder mice, but everytime I see them they're so cute and it's cute how they hop. I've also seen some really pretty colors as well.

Only hopper mice I have heard of are actually near to or barely weaned baby mice, typically around 2 1/2 to 3 weeks old. At this age, they are too young to be sold as pets, as they need another week or so with their mothers to be fully weaned (weaning age is typically 3-4 weeks of age). So, they wouldn't make good pets and may not even survive if separated from their mothers at that young an age. Some can but they grow very slowly and never seem as healthy as fully weaned mice at 4 weeks of age or older.
They are meant as feeders for baby snakes such as small ball pythons or juvenile corn snakes. it's the mouse stage when they start to explore their suroundings.
Yes, we reptile people use them for food. (I only use frozen). When they are born they are pinkies, then fuzzies, then hoppers, then adults.
