One of my mousetraps caught a mouse (to my dissapointment, i love the things, my mom doesn't.) by the bum. His spine is broken and so are his legs. I don't know what to do with him, I can't leave him there to die of starvation with a broken spine, and I can't let him out for the neighborhood cats outside, that isn't fair, he won't be able to walk.
HELP
As cruel as it may sound, the only humane thing to do is to put it out of it's misery. Either take it to a vet to euthenize and pay the $5 it may cost, or kill it quickly yourself. With the spine fractured, not much else you can do.
