this is my nile monitor[varanus niloticus]shes a bit bigger now as this is an old pic,shes about 3 and a half feet now and doubly nasty too me,if your familiar with niles you will know that they have the reputation as being the worst varanid that you could possibly keep,its funny because in a lot of ways shes a lot like the collareds(eg-high metabolic rates,highly strung and if not handled highly likely too try and take out a finger or 2).Im sure i read on here that some1 is keeping savanahs,or boscs as there known-how are they doing?Too keep a nile you really must be a true lover of this species not just in love with the colours,trust me these guys pack a punch and they know it,lol.Sorry it aint a collared but my camera is outta batteries and the collareds are all a bit strung up just now,lol i just need to look at em and there offHey johne did yah get round to getting thosee cctv cams for your outdoor enclosure?well i guess thats enuff ranting from me,oh and before i forget would some go over and pick up eve,i think she just fell over(3 posts in 1 day haha )

pretty cool animal. I heard they can be incredibly nasty, temperment wise. My tegu started out really nasty but he has calmed down a good bit. But I do trim his nails every so often! I (and everyone) would love to see some more recent collared pics!

but like i say,i fell in love with the character,when im not there u should her strutting her stuff(i got cctv in her enclosure)as for recent collared pics,ill get em up as soon as i get more batteries,lol

Glad hes doing well for ya! Sure does look like hes grown since last time. As for the large pores on the collared I dont know what ya mean they are growing? Are they sore ans swollen from mite bites perhaps? Or are you talking about soemthing different?

I will go see that Mug for sure so I can tease ya later! LOL
